Why I Created a Space to Run in the Storm

Since I was a little girl, my bedroom was my sanctuary. I would spend nights creating routines, dreaming of being a dancer on stage. But it wasn't just about performance. It was about survival.

When the music played, my mind stopped running wild. The rhythm flowed like calmness into a brain that often felt chaotic.

The Dark Cloud & The Happy Space Growing up, school was incredibly hard for me. I struggled with sensory overload and the chaos of trying to "fit in." Every line in a textbook felt like it injected my brain with explosive frustration.

As I entered my teen years, anxiety kicked in harder. Mornings were painful. My emotions were like a bottle inside my head, slowly getting shaken over the course of the day. I learned to wear a mask—blending in, staying quiet, and hiding the quirky, colourful soul I actually was.

Finding Balance: Dance & Yoga, I realised that to survive, I needed two things. I needed Dance to channel the distractions and let off steam. I needed Yoga to find my breath and stand softly when life felt too heavy.

My Vision for You I created Dance Yoga Therapy to be the space I wish I had back then. Whether you are a preschooler, a child, or a young adult, this is a place to channel your "dark clouds" into movement.

We need to be able to run in the storm, but we also need to know how to breathe through it.

I can’t wait to meet you!
